Kids Reenact Beastie Boys’ “Sabatoge” Video in Memory of Adam Yauch

Since the death of Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch on May 4, there have been many tributes to the boys and MCA, but this one has to be one of the best!

James Winters, a Portland-based filmmaker, created a reenactment of the boys’ music video for the song “Sabatoge.” The video was originally directed by Spike Jonze.

In this reenactment, Winters called upon the help of his wife, kids, and nephews in order to pay one of the coolest tributes we’ve seen yet to Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch. The original video contained some ridiculous stunts such as car chases and jumping off ledges. Those were a little too risky to involve kids with so in this tribute video Winters changed it up a bit by replacing high-rise buildings with playground equipment, a regular sized pool was traded in for a kiddie pool, and a suitcase full of cocaine became a suitcase with a Pop Rocks wrapper.

Its videos like these that truly show the impact the Beastie Boys and Adam Yauch had on the music business!
