Shakira and Usher will be back on season six of The Voice, while Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera take a break once again!
Shakira and Usher will join Blake Shelton and Adam Levine on season six of The Voice, which will return much sooner than you think! There will only be a two month absence of The Voice on television, before the sixth season premieres on February 24th.
The Voice wrapped its fifth season on Tuesday, with Adam Levine’s team member Tessanne Chin winning. Chin’s winner single, written by Ryan Tedder, is currently No. 26 on iTunes.
In the show’s five seasons, no one but Adam Levine or Blake Shelton’s team has won. Levine, along with the fifth season, won season one, while Shelton won every other season. The two have also never taken a break from the show, unlike Aguilera and Green.
Are you excited to see Shakira and Usher back in action???
Country singer Ashley Monroe and baseball player John Danks said “I do” on Thursday night in Tennessee!
The two married Thursday night at a sunset ceremony in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains. Monroe said:
“I married my best friend. He has such a good heart.”
Blake Shelton officiated the nuptials, which took place at Blackberry Farm, the same place that Kelly Clarkson got married last weekend. Monroe’s best friend and Pistol Annies band mate, Miranda Lambert, was her maid of honor.
Monroe said of having a superstar couple up at the altar with her:
“They’re my dearest friends and we wanted someone with personality to marry us!”
Miranda wasn’t only the bride’s maid of honor, but she also acted as the wedding planner with Monroe nicknaming her “Plannie Annie.” Miranda did a great job from organizing Monroe entering the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage wearing a custom-made Haute Hippie gown to hand-making some of the decor.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be hosting the show for their sixth time!
The 47th annual CMA Awards will air at 8pm ET on November 6 on ABC.
On Wednesday night country singer and The Voice coach Blake Shelton decided to respond to the rumor that the Westboro Baptist Church would be picketing his upcoming October 3 concert in Kansas City, Mo.
Shelton responded to the WBC poster, which announced the 45-minute long protest outside the Sprint Center.
This started a Twitter feud between the two, which ended with a final two tweets from Blake.
What the Westboro Baptist Church is referring to is, Blake was married to his high school sweetheart, Kaynette Williams, when he and current wife Miranda Lambert met. There have also been many rumors of Blake being unfaithful to Miranda and that their marriage is on the rocks.

The first song we ever heard Danielle Bradbery sing on The Voice stage in the blind auditions round was Taylor Swift’s “Mean.” Who would have thought that day that the 16-year-old singer from Texas would be signed to the very same label as Swift just a few months later?!
Danielle Bradbery became the winner of the fourth season of The Voice on Tuesday night and she now has a record deal with Taylor Swift’s label, Nashville’s Big Machine Records. Just one day after winning the singing competition and making coach Blake Shelton very proud, Bradbery was scooped up by the label.
According to Just Jared she is scheduled to begin recording next week!
Big Machine Records is also the home to Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw.
Bradbery wasn’t only the season’s youngest winner, but she was the season’s youngest contestant, beating out more seasoned performers Michelle Chamuel and the Swon Brothers. Shelton said:
“I think it’s the most important win we have had so far onThe Voice because Danielle is the first winner on The Voice that had no professional experience in the past.”
Danielle had no real performing experience before auditioning for The Voice, which her mom signed her up for. Prior to the show she only sang for her best friend and for anyone else she’d have to hide behind an object or turn around to avoid any eye contact!
What an amazing story! Congrats to Danielle on the win and the record deal! There’s definitely more amazing things to come from Danielle in the future!
And Blake Shelton wins again…I mean, 16-year-old country singer Danielle Bradbery from Team Blake won season four of The Voice on Tuesday night, becoming the youngest winner of the competition.
Bradbery’s performing experience prior to The Voice was pretty much non-existent. She would only sing in her bedroom and for her best friend. If she was to sing for anyone else, it would be behind an object or she would turn around to avoid eye contact. Her time on the show proved to be a time of HUGE growth for the high school student from Texas whose mother signed her up for the show.
In the final moments of last night’s finale, Bradbery ultimately came out on top right above Michelle Chamuel of Team Usher, who came in as the runner-up, and the Swon Brothers, also of Team Blake who came in third place.
In the final performance episode Bradbery sang Sara Evans’ “Born to Fly,” which came in at No. 2 on the iTunes charts. She also reprised one of her best performances, “Maybe It Was Memphis” and sang “Timber, I’m Falling In Love” with her coach Blake Shelton. On last night’s finale she sang “I Want Crazy” with Hunter Hayes.
Also on last night’s finale was performances by Christina Aguilera (who will be returning to her Voice chair for season five) with Pitbull, Florida Georgia Line with Nelly, One Republic sang with Chamuel and Bob Seger sang with the Swon Brothers. There was also a performance by Cher.
Congrats to Danielle Bradbery on her Voice win and to the other finalists who will definitely have a great career in music!
It was inevitable… last night on The Voice Blake Shelton had to say goodbye to his first finalist from Team Blake, Holly Tucker. While Blake and many others were sad to see her go, one Houston music critic was not and Blake had some choice words for the critic.
Houston Chronicle music critic Joey Guerra tweeted:
“#TheVoice sends one singer back to Texas. Don’t worry, it’s not the one we care about.”
Guerra linked this tweet to his recap of the show. Danielle Bradbery, also on Team Blake, is from Texas as well.
Blake got wind of the tweet and fired back with a series of tweets, saying:
“It’s people like you @joeyguerra that make me sick… Holly is not only a talented singer but a great person that’s simply chasing a dream.
How about you @joeyguerra grow some balls and come tell me to my face how terrible some of these kids are face to face..? You won’t. Ever.
You @joeyguerra are a chicken shit. I can’t stand a person that makes a point to write hurtful things about kids just trying their best..
I swear to god I cant understand the mentality of a grown man ripping on young kids over and over again for just trying their hardest. Kids!
How much do y’all wanna bet he’d NEVER criticize my team OR me like that face to face…. Chicken shit.”
After venting, he later apologized, saying:
“I’m sorry for going off y’all… But I am passionate about encouraging young people to follow their dreams.. We GOOD people don’t need hate.”
Each coach has one contestant left in the competition, besides Shelton who has two.
They may be going against each other on The Voice, but last night it was all about Oklahoma when Blake Shelton and Usher teamed up for a duet of Michael Buble’s “Home” at the Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert.
The Voice coaches ended the benefit concert, live from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, with a great duet that really set the mood for the whole event leaving everyone with a hopeful feeling.
Shelton started the song sitting alone on stage atop a stool before Usher joined him on stage welcomed by screams from the audience. As the two sang the song, images of the aftermath of the terrible Oklahoma tornadoes as well as the first responders were displayed on the screen behind them.
Shelton organized the whole event, as well as the Healing the Heartland auction which will take place on June 3. Various items will be auctioned off, such as signed hats from country music stars and VIP concert tickets, and the proceeds raised from the auction and from last night’s concert will go to The United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornado Relief Fund.
Other artists who took part in last night’s event included Ryan Tedder, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and more.
