TLC will celebrate over 20 years in the music business by releasing a Greatest Hits album, which will include a new song.
The greatest hits collection, titled 20, will be released on October 15 and will include a new song, “Meant to Be.” The album will also include their popular hits “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls” and more.
“Meant to Be” will also be used for the closing credits of CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, a VH1 biopic on the group that will air on October 21 on the network. The film will follow the dramatic rise of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who died in a car accident in 2002.
An album of new material from the duo is expected sometime in 2014.

Family members of the late singer Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of TLC were not happy when they found out that the two remaining members of the former trio got Japanese pop star Namie Amuro to sing Lopes’ verses on the new remix of the group’s hit song “Waterfall.”
Lopes’ sister, Reigndrop Lopes, said:
“I did not know about it until a fan posted it online. I mean, it would have been nice if they would have given us a heads up before being surprised.”
She continued to say that as long as the song is only released in Japan she is OK with it.
The remake was pulled from YouTube, where it was labeled as, “20th Anniversary Version – Japan Edition.”
Following Lopes’ death in 2002, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chili” Thomas continued as a duo releasing 3D using Lopes’ vocals which has already been recorded. The two of them continued most of their success overseas after Left Eye’s death. In November they announced they would be recording their first new studio album in 10 years.
T-Boz took to Twitter to assure fans that the song was “a tribute TO Lisa in her lyrics.”
Former member of TLC, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins is getting her very own reality show on, guess what station?? TLC!
The still working title, Totally T-Boz, will focus on her return to Los Angeles with a goal of re-starting her music career. Watkins is now a single mother. Also, in the time following TLC’s success she has recovered from a life-threatening brain tumor.
TLC has ordered four episodes of Totally T-Boz, which has already started filming. They are hoping for an early 2013 premiere.
Amy Winter, general manager of the network, said:
“Tionne dominated the charts for years, turning the group TLC into a household name, and her personal journey is as fascinating as her professional one. This series will open the door into T-Boz’s struggles and successes, and the people who are there to support her as she works to make her dreams come true all over again.”
